Despite all the effort Pete and Chris are putting into The BPAS Group, it has not been forgotten that Peter has a wealth of experience in the local metals industry as well as within the arts scene in South Yorkshire.
With several enquiries being received for his assistance from both sectors, BPAS now has a consultancy wing so that Peter can cover both areas.
Technically, Peter is a qualified metallurgist with over 35 years experience in both ferrous and non-ferrous industries and is currently using his specialist skills to help restructure quality systems for companies in South Yorkshire and the East Midlands. He is:
- a qualified auditor for the quality standard ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 Aerospace version having installed, maintained and even resurrected them
- experienced as regards computer based systems that include advanced programming in Microsoft Office's Excel and Access
- adept at preparing and delivering training courses
- keen to see Lean Manufacturing principles exploited on the shop floor and in the office
- a Chartered Engineer, a member of both the IQA and the IMMM
- a recognised business advisor with Initiatives in Business Developments Ltd (Ibd) as well as being an MCCR Associate. Click here for his resume.
